Litchfield National Park

The Area

Before we left Darwin to head home to see family for Christmas, we got the opportunity to head out and see Litchfield NP. This is our second time visiting the park, our last trip was 2 years ago. It was great to revisit this beautiful place again. 🥰 ⁣

Even though it’s our second visit, it was completely different. We visited in the dry season which meant that all the waterfalls and environment around us wasn’t at its full potential. Still amazing, but not what it can be with some extra water.⁣

This time around was absolutely spectacular! Each waterfall we sew was flowing to its full capacity plus, the environment around us was just next level, we hadn’t seen so much green in one place in some time. It was amazing to experience! ⁣

The best part about the NT is that you can have a totally different experience each time you visit depending on what time of the year it is. Litchfield in a dry state & a very wet state is so different. It’s very cool to witness the opposite types of weather and gain an appreciation for the changing environment around you. ⁣ If you have never been to Litchfield National Park, you MUST put it on the bucket list. It’s one of the most amazing and well set out parks for waterfalls, Picnic areas and amazing sights, highly recommend! ⁣
God it’s good to be back on the road 🙌🏼 nothing beats pulling up to a new location and not knowing what to expect, absolutely love it!⁣
