40 Mile Beach

Just another great location situated just outside of Karratha. Honestly, the Karratha area has so much to bloody offer it’s ridiculous, I don’t think many people know how accommodating the area is! ????????This was a killer beachside stop with some awesome sunset viewing. ⁣

Road Conditions

Only 10 mins down a well maintained dirt road to access the camping area & boat ramp. This particular campsite we stayed on was located a further 5mins down another dirt track which again was no dramas at all & suitable for just about any setup. ⁣

Ideal Site

Site 90 was our destination which was huge, big enough to fit a few vans on with beach access. We completed 3 nights at this stunning spot with some of the best sunsets we have seen since Broome. One of the coolest things about this site is of a night when the tide is out, a lot of the reef is exposed which makes for a lot of fun exploring for creatures of the ocean. ⁣

Wildlife

We were told about the high volume of octopus in the area but hadn’t seen one yet in person. So we set out on a mission to find this intriguing animal. Within minutes, we found ourselves 4 within the shallow rock pools, what a great experience! They have to be one of the coolest creatures in the ocean and you can sense their intelligence just playing with them! ⁣
