“They were cold, drizzly overcast days while camped up, but to be honest it was still a great experience”
@wikicamps delivering the goods once again while we travelled along the south west coast. After looking for a free camp by the water that was easy enough to access from the main road, we stumbled across this hidden gem, Boat Harbour.
It’s a dirt road access off the main drag. The first half is very well looked after but be aware of the second half after the bins as it gets very corrugated. Once you arrive you’ll be greet by Trevor who lives onsite, one of the friendliest blokes you’ll meet. On our arrival, I was offered a cold can of VB & personal tour of the available sites!
After deciding on our campsite, we drove the van to the beach side. The access track is very tight for vans with bush & trees. If you don’t mind a few pin strips you’ll be fine 😉 we decided on the “Penthouse” site which is overlooking the beach that we had all to ourselves.
It’s a tricky little site to enter & exit but definitely 100% worth it! 10mins after arriving, we spotted the biggest pod of dolphins, such a great way to start our stay! We spent 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. Such a shame that the weather wasn’t as good as the view.
They were cold, drizzly overcast days while camped up, but to be honest it was still a great experience. We would definitely return in better weather & stay a week! This is definitely a campsite for the more adventurous camper with tight tracks and tricky sections.
