“Broome is one of those places that sucks you in”
We made it to Broome! We pulled up at the RAC Cable Beach Caravan Park for the first few days. Really great park with plenty of sites and great amenities. Biggest plus was it’s just around the corner from the famous Cable Beach.
On our first night we decided to head down with friends and do sunset on the beach. We have both only seen photos of how amazing it is, but honestly after seeing it in person, photos just don’t do it justice! If you haven’t done it, we definitely 110% recommend you drive down and spend the afternoon on the beach and watch the day end over the horizon. Just incredible!!
While in town before we headed north to the Dampier Peninsula we had a drive around town to checkout the sights. We found one of the biggest playgrounds yet on our travels ???????? it’s located on the main side of town. A huge area you could spend the whole day at. It also has a good size waterpark to entertain the kids next door.

Another favorite spot we found while driving around was a beach located near Gantheaume Point. There is a small beach access road before you hit the dirt that takes you to one of the most amazing beaches. Huge open, flat and sandy area that you can pull up on and setup for the day with super clear blue ocean to swim and soak up. You can also take the dogs, perfect for the kids and its so close to town! You’ll understand when you see it…
