Katherine Pt2

Things to do

Day three we had the opportunity to checkout ⁣
The Top Didj cultural experience which was located 10mins outside of town. This was a great opportunity to learn some aboriginal history and techniques with painting. It was a lot of fun and very family oriented. ⁣

Manuel was our cultural teacher for the day! What a bloody legend and funny bloke. He taught us not only how to paint but to use a traditional spear to hunt. He told us stories of how he grew up in the bush and how our lives differ to a traditional aboriginal upbringing. It was a lot of fun and we all had the opportunity to learn something new. 🙌🏼 ⁣

Must see

On our last day we were lucky enough to checkout the famous Katherine Gorge. We had a 2hr tour which consisted of two boat rides on two sections of the gorge, a 400m walk in between each gorge checking out the beautiful sites & aboriginal art and a refreshing swim at the end to cool off and enjoy the surrounds. ⁣

This was definitely a must do tour, the gorge was absolutely stunning! The tour guide gives you a full run down on the history of the place while cruising up the river systems. Make sure you have plenty of battery in your camera cause everywhere you look is just magical. ⁣

Thank you for having us Katherine you have been amazing 🥰
