We made it to Mt Isa! What a bloody location this place is. It was the first major town we have been to for sometime after visiting a heap of small country towns. A lot to offer here in the Isa, being one of the biggest mining towns in Australia. ⁣

We had a follower of ours contact us through socials saying they lived in the area and that we should catch up. They threw us an offer we couldn’t refuse! A day out on the water in their boat experiencing this amazing & beautiful lake. As you could imagine, we couldn’t say no! 🤟🏼

The lake

We started the day off exploring the highest point of the lake at the lookout, which was absolutely spectacular! It is a vantage point that allows you to see the biggest portion of the lake in its glory, well worth the 10min drive up. ⁣

We then spent the rest of the day wakeboarding, surfing & swimming out on the water. What a way to enjoy such a stunning spot. It brought back a lot of memories from life at home visiting the lakes near home and doing the same thing. And best of all, we got to experience the most amazing sunset over the water while relaxing in the boat! ⁣
