Morton Telegraph Station

Camp

On our travels south, back towards civilisation, we dropped into a great spot at Moreton Station. We stayed here 3 nights which was refreshing after spending a few one nighters on the road. ⁣
⁣
Fun fact: This location is known for its green grass, the greenest in the Cape 😏 it was certainly a nice change from the relentless red dirt we have experienced over the past two weeks. ⁣
⁣
They have two fresh water outlets that you can top up with. They also supply powered sites but the only catch is you have power from 7am to 8.30pm only as the site runs on a large generator which is set on a timer. ⏱ There is also toilets, hot showers and a washing machine accessible to all campers.⁣
⁣
All in all, it’s a great place to pull up. They have a river located only 1min walk from camp which is well known for catching Barra 🎣 one of the kids managed to hook one, but it was undersize unfortunately.
