“It’s going to be raining all the time”
When we told people we were coming to the north of Western Australia in the tropical season, they thought we were crazy. “It’s going to be raining all the time”, “You’re not going to be able to go anywhere or see anything cause it will be flooded”...
Well, coming up here in the wet has been the most amazing experience we could of ever asked for. We have never seen landscapes so green & lush plus the the amount of water flowing through the land creating these jaw dropping waterfalls all over.
The Grotto is one of those incredible locations that just come alive with rain! The water rushing through there and down the huge rock faces is breathtaking. You get a real sense of the area when you see amazing natural sights created by Mother Nature.
The Grotto is located 45mins west of Kununurra along the Victoria Highway. From the car park, it’s only a short 5 minute walk to the fall itself with another adventurous track down to the bottom of the falls if your feeling daring where you can swim in the bottom swimming hole.
It will be a place we remember forever 🥰 absolutely stunning.
