Cleaverville

Camp

We managed to get back out to Cleaverville after our last attempt over 6 months ago when it was incredibly cold and very windy. This time we were enjoying it with some special friends of ours Nik & Dave from @daveandniksadventures aka good friends that allowed us to stay in their front yard while visiting Karratha. ⁣

Hoping that the weather would be much better this time, we managed to experience 3 amazing days right down by the water. Having the place to ourselves, you couldn’t ask for much more. This location is definitely one of our favourites, camping right by the ocean with insane views it’s just stunning. You have a ton of tracks that cover the hills behind camp that you can use in the afternoons to really enjoy those sunsets too. ⁣

The entry road into camp is pretty good 👌🏼 you could definitely drive or tow just about anything down the road. Some of tracks into the campsites can be soft & sandy but most are very manageable. There is a dump point & well maintained bins which is always a huge bonus. One thing we absolutely love about WA and their campsites is that you will find 9/10 times always have these facilities. ⁣

Details

It’ll cost you $16pp for water front views but hot tip, in the off season between 1st Oct/30th April you can stay in this paradise for nothing; that’s right $0! Very hard to pass up, we scored ourselves a great secluded site with tons of room. A large portion of the sites available were just like this with a few more closer to the water as well 👌🏼 Off grid living at its best. ⁣

Also available are bins for your rubbish and a dump point. Most of the camps in this area have the same facilities which is another reason why we love this area. ⁣
