We made it to Darwin! This isn’t our first time in Darwin. We visited here over 2yrs ago catching up with Sian’s family went to Kakadu for 10days. We had the opportunity to see a lot of the national park on our visit which was amazing. But you can only see so much in 10 days exploring this beautiful part of the NT.
Now on our second visit, we wanted to checkout what we missed last trip. Only issue this year is that we have arrived late in wet season so things are very different. We have still managed to checkout what we can so far.
We stayed our first week at the Darwin FreeSpirit Resort just outside of town. I must admit this park reminds us of Cairns Coconut because of the sheer size of the park and pools available to swim in. It also has a jumping pillow and one of the best bar/restaurant/pool areas we have seen for a while. There are power/water sites with shady trees to setup under as well.
We also got to checkout Dundee Beach while exploring the surrounding areas. We took a drive out to check what the caravan park looked like as a potential stay. Was a really cool & secluded area with a pub and jetty to drop the boat in or a line from the rocks. 🎣 We would definitely stay out that way based on what we have seen.
We also managed to get the final parts on the car which was exciting 🙌🏼 The final build series video will be out for that very soon, so stay tuned. Plus, we ended up finding ourselves a very cool new locations for our second week in Darwin keep an eye out for it in an upcoming post... 😉
