The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum was accessible along the Australian Dinosaur Trail while staying in Winton. This would have to be the biggest attraction out of the three areas by far! They have some really amazing & interesting experiences to share. ⁣

They have 3 tours available in this location, first off for us was the fossil preparation laboratory tour. And to sum up this part of the tour with one word would have to be WOW! To see the fossils up close and in your face was just amazing. It really gives you a feel for the seriousness of how real they actually were so many years ago! ⁣

The second tour was called the collection room which is located in the main building. This was great as you got to sit down and be shown some of the very first fossils ever discovered in the area and learn some awesome facts about the Australian one of a kind fossils. ⁣

Tours

Lastly, the dinosaur canyon tour. This was a lot of fun as you get to jump onto these really cool golf buggy type carts and head outside to explore the story of all the fossils found in the area. It’s a long footpath with loads of really cool examples of how these animals would of existed. It was bloody hot but well worth it. ⁣

Definitely recommend checking out this experience, it was a great day out and the kids absolutely loved it. Never seen Jayda so involved before! haha
