Hughenden

What's in town

We have had a lot of fun on our journey out west into these country towns. Hughenden was our first town on the Australian Dinosaur Trail which we will continue to follow through Winton and onto Richmond. We went to the Flinders Discovery Centre, which was full of interesting facts and one very cool dinosaur sculpture. ⁣

They have a large dam located in town which was only constructed over a year ago which is a great place to chill-out with a few cold ones and watch the locals get thrown off the tubes lol... We spent a good few hours doing exactly that! 🍻 ⁣

Places to stay

We stayed at the Allen Terry Caravan Park which had fresh water & power. We paid $30 per night & $3 per child. It was a blessing at this time of year with it being so hot, we were able to run the air-con non stop.⁣
