“If your into your 4x4ing & love exploring remote locations this is definitely a must do”
Have you heard of this 4x4 track before??
This was one of the most scenic tracks we have completed while spending our time in the @thekimberleyaustralia This track can be entered from two ends, either Wyndham or from the Pentecost River side. Bonus at the Wyndham end is you drive past the King River/Prison Tree & also a pretty impressive aboriginal rock art collection located in the cliff sides.
The dirt road runs past the magnificent Cockburn Range, over vast mudflats, endless birds and wildlife, through Digger’s Rest Station, lots of creeks and waterholes (some dried up due to the time of year), so many Boab trees and of course all with beautiful dry season weather.
The track conditions for us were really good with small sections of hill climbs and rough patches but overall was a pretty doable experience. One of the highlights for us was driving over kilometers of dried mudflats, was incredible to experience in such a remote environment.
For us stopping often to film & taking photos of the track, it took about 5hrs to complete. Definitely achievable to do it much faster than us lol… For a single track into the unknown there was a lot on offer. If your into your 4x4ing & love exploring remote locations this is definitely a must do!
