Kununurra/Molly Springs

The Area

Well it’s safe to say WA is one very beautiful part of Oz. We have heard so much about this state and seen so much but to be here finally experiencing it is just incredible. ⁣

A lot of people are not keen to travel up this far in the wet season as places can flood and restrict you from adventuring but we can tell you right now, we highly rate WA in the wet. We have seen things that you can only see at this time of year. It has blown our minds how beautiful this land can be. ⁣

The colours around here are just next level, the grass is the greenest we have ever seen and not to mention the amazing random waterfalls everywhere after the afternoon storm rolls through. Yes there is rain, but not as much as you think. During the day the weather is beautiful which allows you to get out and see all the sights. Usually when the afternoon rolls around, you’ll end up with a short lived storm. ⁣

What's around

We have been busy driving everywhere soaking up this amazing landscape around us. The roads here have some of the best views, it’s hard to keep your eyes on the road while your driving lol... Huge mountains & lush terrain everywhere! ⁣

We visited our first attraction which is only 25mins outside of town called Molly Springs. It’s a beautiful little fresh water swimming hole. Only a very short and easy 5min walk from the carpark and your at the spring. Definitely a place you could easily spend hours! They have toilets, picnic tables & a bbq located on your way in, the perfect setup for a day trip. ⁣
