Bungle Bungles

Bucket list location

We finally got to tick off a huge bucket list location, the famous Bungle Bungles. What a spectacular place this was, it’s one of those places you know about and have seen a lot of but till you see it with your own eyes it just blows you away and you understand why people absolutely rave about it, the landscape of the rock is just breathtaking! ⁣

The road into the National Park is very bloody average & rough! It’s 50km from the caravan park into the park but it will be slow going in sections, so take your time & drive to conditions. You will pass the information centre which you can stock up on stickers, drinks and info & pay for your park pass if you don’t already have one. ⁣

What to expect

You have two main areas to visit, the northern end and southern end, each with their own amazing hikes and sights to explore. We managed with the kids to do both Piccaninny & Echidna in the one day which we were very impressed by lol…⁣

Highlights for us were the Domes/Cathedral Gorge & Echidna Chasm. There is so much to take in and see, you could spend a good few days in the park easily. You can camp in the park grounds at a couple of different locations but if your not keen on towing the full 50km in, you have a caravan park located at the entry of the National Park to choose from too.⁣
