Romany 1870

The Camp

Since arriving in the city of Perth, it’s been overwhelming for us! After spending 20+ months in remote towns & regions of Australia, we feel like real country folk. We enjoy our space & one lane roads haha! Don’t get us wrong, Perth is absolutely stunning with tons to offer but not really our thing anymore. Two years ago, I never imagined we’d say something like that either.⁣

We decided to disappear back into the country for a few days near a town called Bindoon. What a great little country town feel there is out there, it was very inviting. We continued 30mins north of town to reach our @hipcamp location by the name of Romany 1870. ⁣

Rolling hills, a large lake and a running creek that was only a short drive off the main road along a dirt entry, through a property & over a small hill to reach the site. By now, we already knew it was going to be a great experience. Access to the camp was great compared to many we have seen, most travellers should have no dramas entering. ⁣

They have 5 campsites available, 2 of the 5 are well suited for a large setups like a caravan while the other three are smaller & suited more for camper trailers or tents. Our particular site (#3) was one of the biggest on offer. We had more then enough room for our setup & room for the kids to play, it was perfect. ⁣

All of the sites back onto a small flowing fresh water creek which gives another element to your experience and the sound of running water while you sleep. People pay good money for apps that do exactly that! If your looking for a nice secluded bush camp that’s affordable, this is definitely one to put on the list. We had the best time exploring the area and just switching off! ⁣

Cost $20 night per vehicle (kids included)⁣
